Originally from Germany, Christian "Sancho" Garmatter is a professional dancer and Graphic Designer. His background as a performer allowed him to mainly surround himself with like-minded and creative artists from all around the world, which shaped his personality and enforced his passion for art, and later design.
From 2000 to 2005, he lived in Berlin Germany, where he worked as a dancer with the Friedrichstadt Palast on several productions. He worked with Thomas Ostermeier on the show "Woitzeck," at the Palais des Papes in Avignon France, and with the Renegate Theatre on their productions "Rumble" and "41."
In 2005 Christian moved to Las Vegas to join "The Beatles LOVE" show by Cirque du Soleil. After relocating to Montreal in 2008, he performed his 20-minute solo-show "From 92' till" at Tangente in Montreal. In 2009 Christian joined Cirque Eloizes touring show "ID." He was later assigned the role of Artistic Director. In 2010 he was invited by the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain to perform a five-minute circus act and won the "Coup de Cœur du Festival" price. Christian also had the opportunity to perform and tour with renowned choreographer Dave St-Pierre. Amongst other things, he's worked on movies, tv shows, music videos, motion capture and many other commercial productions.
In 2018 he considered a professional education with the Centre for Distance Education to elevate his interest, skills and knowledge to become a professional graphic designer. He graduated with a diploma in Graphic Design
